The PolaScan App allows you to crop instant images out of scans and enrich them with metadata, such as date, location, and camera model. To enable this feature, the App uploads the images to Azure Cognitive Services for analysis. However, it's important to note that all images are deleted immediately after processing, and no personal data is stored or retained.
The App also provides the option to utilize Google Timeline data. If you choose to enable this feature, only coordinates from the Google Timeline are used to lookup addresses for enriching the photo metadata. It's important to note that this data is only stored in memory on your computer while processing images and is not transmitted or stored by the App or PolaScan.
The images you upload to the App are used solely for the purpose of analyzing and enriching them with metadata. We do not collect or retain any personal data from these images.
If you choose to enable the Google Timeline feature, the coordinates from the Timeline data are used solely for the purpose of retrieving location-based information to enhance the metadata of your photos. This data is not stored or retained by the App or PolaScan.
PolaScan may engage third-party service providers to assist with the functioning and analysis of the App. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality obligations and are only authorized to use your information as necessary to perform services on our behalf.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect and defend our rights or property, or investigate potential misconduct.
We take the security of your information seriously. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
